  1. Population and dissenters: Number of families about two hundred & fourteen – no Dissenters, no meeting house.

  2. Public or charity schools: A Publick School, no endowment to it. Number of children taught in it about forty or fifty. <They are> taught & instructed in ye principles of ye Christian Religion & are constantly brought to Church on Prayr days.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is an Alms house in ye Parish not endowed some Ground calld ye Parish meadows given towards ye repair of ye Church but by whom I know not. There is likewise ye Rents of ye markets & Fairs kept within ye sd Parish appropriated towards ye repair of ye church. ye directions of such benefactions are lodged in ye power of ye church wardens. I know of no abuses or frauds committed.

  4. Residence upon cure: The Rector is resident in Xst Church College Oxon.

  5. Curate: I am ye residing Curate. I do not live in ye Parsonage house but live in ye Town near ye Church. ye Rector pays me forty Pounds per annum.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I do <not> perform Divine service in any Church besides my own as Curate unless it be to oblige a neighbour if sick.

  7. Frequency of divine service: I perform Divine service in ye sd Church twice every Lords day with a sermon in ye morning & afternoon.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Sacrament of ye Lords Supper is administred six times in ye year.

  9. Number of communicants: About three hundred Communicants in ye Parish about fourscore usually receive, near about yt number receiv’d at Easter last.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are catechiz’d usually in ye Summer season ye Parishioners send their Children & servants at such time as they are calld upon to be instructed.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There are two chapels belonging to ye sd Parish one call’d Tingcombe Chapel, ye other Great Week both in ruins.
