Chanter 225A, 35-36

  1. Population and dissenters: There <are> sixty five Families within ye Parish; but not one Dissenter of any Denomination whatsoever, & consequently no Meeting House &c.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no Publick or Charity School.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Alms-house &c Neither have any lands or Tenements been left for the Repair of ye church, or other pious use.

  4. Residence upon cure: I reside personally upon my Cure, & in ye Parsonage House.

  5. Curate: I have none.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I do not, unless I assist any neighbouring Clergyman in time of sickness, or when he is absent on Business.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On all Holy days generally, & twice every Lord’s Day with a Sermon in the Morning & likewise in ye Afternoon, And also all State Holydays duly observ’d.

  8. Frequency of communion: Four times in ye year.

  9. Number of communicants: There are generally between thirty & forty Communicants which receive ye Sacrament, & to the best of my Remebrance there were thirty three that communicated last Easter.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are generally catechiz’d every Sunday in the afternoon from ye beginning of May, till ye End of August. And the Parents & Masters & Mistresses usually instruct them at home as to the teaching them to say it by Heart; but then they are catechiz’d publickly on Sundays, and there’s an Exposition on some part of the Church Catechism afterwards.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no Chapel within ye Parish.
