  1. Population and dissenters: One hundred & sixty eight Families.
    Seven Families Dissenters; three Anabaptists & four Presbyterians. There is no Meeting House in ye Parish; no Dissenting Teacher.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no publick School.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is an Alms house supported at ye expense of ye Parish; & a considerable sum of money given for ye use of ye Poor, which is not properly apply’d.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do not reside here, but I reside at Nettlecombe having a Dispensation for so doing.

  5. Curate: I have a residing Curate; his name is James Wilkins, he has no Licence; He lives in my Parsonage house. I allow him Forty pounds a year.

  6. Divine service at other churches: No. Unless in ye case of sickness or ye like.

  7. Frequency of divine service: All Saints Days & twice every Sunday with a sermon in ye morning & one in ye Evening unless I expound on ye Catechism.

  8. Frequency of communion: Four times, at Christmas, at Easter, at Whitsontide & at Michaelmas.

  9. Number of communicants: About Thirty one, & about Twenty seven communicated at Easter last past.

  10. Catechising of children: I catechize ye Children after ye second Lesson Sunday Evenings.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: None.
