  1. Population and dissenters: There are in my Parish about one Hundred Families. Not one Dissenter of any Denomination: nor any Meeting-House, Licenc’d or not.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no Publick or Charity School in my Parish, Endow’d or otherwise maintained. Some Poor Children are taught to Read, & Instructed in ye Chuch-Catechism, in a private school, yearly, at my Expence: & brought duly to attend ye Service of ye Church as my Parishioners do in General. (Ye Poor sort having Bible & Other ?People['s]1 Bookes distributed among them yearly).

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Alms house, Hospital, or Other Charitable Endowment in my Parish: but an House call’d The Poor or Church House, Inhabited by Paupers: Repair’d at ye Expence of ye Parish. There are no Lands or Tenements left by any one for ye Repair of ye Church or other Pious uses.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do not Reside Personally upon my Cure: but at Exeter, as Chancellor of that Church, for ye most part: am Resident however at Lamerton, in my Vicarage house, about Three or Four months Generally in every year.

  5. Curate: I have a Resident Curate His name Mr Peter Burnaford; qualify’d according to ye Canons: Licenc’d to ye Cure by Bp Blackburne & Bp Weston: & Allow’d to Cotinue to Supply This Cure by Bp Weston after he became Vicar of Colyton <upon my nomination>, & ever since He was Collated by His Ldp, upon his giving up Colyton, to ye Rectory of Bridestow; in ye year 1734. He does not live in my Vicarage house which I reserve for my own use when at Lamerton: but in a House of his own <near ye Church> having a wife & Family. I allow Him Thirty pounds per annum & ye Surplice Fees.

  6. Divine service at other churches: My Curate performs no Divine Service in any Church beside mine; but occasionally, & Exchanging sometimes with His Curate at Bridestow.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform’d in my Church duly Every Lord’s day; & on the Holy-days: & Two Sermons preached every Ld’s Day.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament of ye Lord’s Supper is Administer’d in my Church Five times Every year.

  9. Number of communicants: There are I believe beween Two & Three Hundred Communicants in my Parish: of whom more than one Hundred usually Receive Three times in ye year: about one Hundred & Twenty Receiv’d on last Easter-day at ye Preceeding Ld’s Day.

  10. Catechising of children: My Curate Catechizes ye Children Every Summer, about Eight Sundays following, in ye Afternoon: Preaching also at ye same time. And my Parishioners send their Children & Apprentices accordingly.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no Chappel in my Parish.
