  1. Population and dissenters: There are about eighty two families in the Parish of Pinhoe, & but one single Woman a Dissenter, who professes her self a Roman Catholick. I know of no licenced or other Meeting house in this Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is a School maintain’d in this Parish by a Legacy of forty shillings yearly, given by Sr John Elwell Baronet, whereby eight Children are taught to read; & due care is taken to instruct them in the Principles of the Christian Religion, according to the Doctrine of the Church of England & to bring them to Church as the Canon requires.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is in this Parish no Alms-house, Hospital, or other Charitable Endowment. But there hath been an ordinary house left for the repair of the Church; & for other pious uses, as follow; The Income of two small fields to be distributed among poor people above sixty years of Age & five pounds yearly out of an Estate in Broad Clist to be lain out in Linnen Cloath for day-labourers. Which Charities, I believe, are under the Direction of Feofees & in ye management of them I have never known or heard of any abuse or Frauds committed. I have been inform’d likewise that forty shillings were given by one Mr John Dally to be lent to four poor people for a year without interest; which are now lost.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do reside personally upon my Cure & in my Vicarage House.

  6. Divine service at other churches: No.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine service is perform’d in my Church twice every Lords-Day, with a Sermon in the Morning & After-noon, & on some Holy-days.

  8. Frequency of communion: Five times.

  9. Number of communicants: There are in this Parish fifty four Communicants about thirty of them usually receive, & thirty one communicated at Easter last past.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are Catechiz’d in my Church about once a year in ye Summer-season, & my Parishioners generally send their Children & servants to be instructed by me.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: We have no Chapel at all in this Parish.
