  1. Population and dissenters: My Good Lord,
    The Families in this Parish are about 42 in number: of which, none are Dissenters of any sort or Denomination. Neither have <we> any Dissenting-meeting House or Teacher.

  2. Public or charity schools: No Publick or Charity School.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: No Alms House or Hospital or Estate of near twenty pounds per annum, was formerly given to the Parish for ye use of the Poor of the same Parish; is now vested in the hands of chosen Feoffees, who apply it without fraud or abuse to its appropriated uses.

  4. Residence upon cure: I have always resided upon my Cure; but not in the Parsonage House, which at ye time of my Institution to the Living of Stowford was pretty much dilapidated. I reside at present in a house as near to the Church as <is> the Parsonage House; & intend residing in the latter, as soon as it can be put into proper repair.

  5. Curate: I employ no Curate, being personally resident in the Parish myself.

  6. Divine service at other churches: At no other Church, unless by way of assisting a Brother in case of Sickness or necessary absence.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is regularly performd <twice> in my Church, with two sermons, every Lord’s day; and prayers every Holyday; & both Prayers & Sermon on Good Friday, 5th of Novr, Christmas day, & 30th of January: Except as before, in case of Sickness or necessary absence.

  8. Frequency of communion: Four times in the year – viz on Easter – Day, Whitsunday, the first Sunday after Michaelmas day, & Christmas day.

  9. Number of communicants: The Communicants in this Parish may be 60, or upwards, in number: of whom I have not known less than 40 receive at one time, & sometimes upwards of 50 and as well as I can remember, there might be 50, or thereabouts, who communicated at Easter past.

  10. Catechising of children: I Catechize ye children every year; and always in the Summer, when ye Children from ye remotest parts of ye Parish, can most conveniently attend me at which time I read an Exposition on ye Church Catechism of my own drawing up, which takes up about ten weeks. The Parishioners regularly send their Children & Servants.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no Chapel within ye Parish of Stowford.
