  1. Population and dissenters: Families in ye Parish of Uplime about 110
    N.B. Some of these are only Single persons
    Families of Dissenters about 20
    3 families of ym <are> Quakers & 4 anabaptists
    There is no meeting house of Dissenters in our Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no Publick or Charity School Endowd, or Maintaind in our Parish. There is only a private one of about 8 or 9 Children <3 only being of our parish> yt I teach myself to Read write & cyph[er] as I have taught some these 7 years, these are very small, – I am now Learning <ym> ye church Catechism as usual.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Almshouse, Hospital nor <any> other Charitable Endowment in our parish.

  4. Residence upon cure: I Reside Personally on my Cure Paying Rent for the Parsonage house & orchard to ye Churchwardens.

  5. Curate: I Reside on my Cure as afore said & am Qualified according to ye Canons. My Names is Richard Gerrard of Exeter Coll. Oxon.
    I Live as Afore Said in ye Parsonage house & was allowd by Stephen Ld. Bp. of Exeter (Lately Deceasd) the full Sum of thirty six pounds per annum During ye Sequestration, having 4 people to maintain in my family & nothing else Valuable to live on.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I Perform Divine Service at no <other> Church <but my own> nor have I, only by way of Exchange a Sunday Sometimes, these 7 years & upwards.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is Perform'd in Our Church Xtmas day with 1 sermon, & Every fast day with 2 sermons. on ye mart. of K. Charles 29 May & Gunpowder Treason (5th Nov) two Sermons Generally on {ye} Every Lords Day often Preaching on ye heads of ye Catechism.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is administred three times at Least Every year in our Church.

  9. Number of communicants: We have about 12 Persons that usually Communicate in our Parish: about 9 of ym Communicated at Easter Last past, I believe.

  10. Catechising of children: Children are Catechizd on Sundays <once a year thro' ye parish> in our Church. Our Parishioners are Something Backward in Sending their Children, Either to Schools or Catechism. They are generally very poor & have no publick School or charitable Endowments Left for Such uses.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: We have no chapel in our Parish.
