  1. Population and dissenters: Seventy two or thereabout one dissenter {partly} <a Presbyterian> on Sundays he is at a meeting house at Torrington as often he comes to my Church. We have no meeting House of Dissenters in this Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: We have not any Charity School.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: When I came to my Parish in 1728 I was assur'd by ye Parishoners that there was 100 pounds in a Chest which Stood in ye Church – I call'd ye officers of the Parish together, but found no money there.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do reside in my Parsonage House.

  5. Curate: [No answer given]

  6. Divine service at other churches: No.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On Sundays in the morning, with Prayers & {very} a Sermon in ye morning, & Prayers constantly frequently a Sermon in the afternoon.

  8. Frequency of communion: Six times.

  9. Number of communicants: Last Easter I had about Forty Communicants.

  10. Catechising of children: Generally at Lent, & constantly every Sunday since we had notice of your Lordships good Intention to Visit: some of my Parishoners – do send your Children, but not so many as I could wish.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: We have one large Chapel, belonging to an old Seat {of} call'd Umberly, it was all most ruin'd, but about twenty years Since it was – handsomly repair'd by Mr Basset ye Patron of ye Parish: it is covered, & lock'd up, but not us'd.
