  1. Population and dissenters: I have sixteen Families in my Parish. Dissenters none, my Lord, unless one Mr George Marks, who was a Dissenting Teacher, but now comes to Church some Times, & has offer’d himself to your Lordship to be admitted into holy orders. Meeting house none.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no School, my Lord in my Parish.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: No, my Lord.

  4. Residence upon cure: I reside, my Lord, on my other Living Cheldon by your Lordship’s Leave, and Approbation.

  5. Curate: No, my Lord, by your Lordship’s Consent, (as both my Parishes are Small) I serve it myself, being near Cheldon.

  6. Divine service at other churches: Only at Cheldon, and Meshaw, my Lord.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On Sundays, and grand Festivals, my Lord. I preach a Sermon every Lord’s Day to each of my Livings, which your Lordship was pleased to approve of, on my taking my Living of Meshaw.

  8. Frequency of communion: Four Times, my Lord; at Easter, Whitsunday, Michaelmas, and Christmas.

  9. Number of communicants: About forty, my Lord. About ten usually receive. As I remember, about half that number Communicated last Easter.

  10. Catechising of children: I Catechise the Children, my Lord, every Summer some several Sundays, 'till I have instructed them all.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: No, my Lord.
