  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I do not reside at Ashton but by the late Bishop's Leave I serve the Cure of Ailesbeare and reside in the Vicarage House there. I have a Curate at Ashton, Mr Leg, with a Salary of £35 and the Surplice-Fees. He is not resident within the Parish but had the late Bishop's leave to live in it's Neighbourhood. He is not licenc'd having a Benefice. No Lecturer.

  2. Other benefices: I have no other Benefice.

  3. Divine service at other churches: No.

  4. Frequency of divine service: The service of this Church is twice a Day in the summer season only once in the winter.

  5. Frequency of communion: Four times in the year at Easter, Whitsunday, Michaelmas, & X:mas. The number of Communicants, between 20 & 30.

  6. Catechising of children: Sunday, & some following Sundays.

  7. Church fabric: The Church & Chancel is in good repair, the Church yard wall is well every thing is in decent order.

  8. Glebe terrier: There is a proper Terrier.

  9. Number of families: About 40.

  10. Chapels: There is no Chapel within the Parish.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: There are no Papists, nor any meeting House, or Houses in the Parish.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: Only an alms House for the Poor.

  13. Charity: There are no lands or other Benefactions for charitable or pious uses.

    Priest's orders and institution: I was ordain'd Priest ye 25th of September 1757.
    and was instituted to Ashton the 16th of July 1773.
