Chapels: Ugbrooke, the Seat of the Right Honble Lord Clifford is in my Parish, where there is a Chapel.
Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: When Lord Clifford is resident at Ugbrooke, I suppose there may be about 27 or 28 reputed Papists in the Parish of Chudleigh. There is one Presbiterian Meeting-House. Mr Jones is the Teacher.
School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: Here is one publick Grammar School, which, I believe, is duly managed according to the Direction of the Founder. Here is also a Writing=School, and an Alms=House. Here is no parochial Library.
Charity: Here are some Benefactions left for Charitable Uses, which are duly applied, as far as I know.
Priest's orders and institution: My Priest's Orders are dated 20th September 1747. Institution to the Vicarage of Chudleigh is dated 12th June 1752.
