  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I reside the greater part of the year in my vicarage house - the rest at Exeter as Canon Residentiary. No Lecturer.

  2. Other benefices: I have the Rectory of Sowton.

  3. Divine service at other churches: I do not perform divine Service at any Church besides my own except on particular occasions.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is performed twice on the Lord's Day with a Sermon at each time: Also on all Holy days whether feasts or fasts, and on Wednesdays & Fridays in Lent.

  5. Frequency of communion: The Sacrament of the L.S. is administered on the first Sunday in every month, and also on the three great Festivals of Christmas Easter and Whitsunday. About 40 Communicants.

  6. Catechising of children: The Children are annually catechised on Wednesdays and Fridays during the Season of Lent.

  7. Church fabric: Yes.

  8. Glebe terrier: I have no Terrier, for which I beg leave to defer of signing any Reason till I have an opportunity of paying my Duty to your Lordship in person.

  9. Number of families: Upwards of an hundred.

  10. Chapels: We have a Chapel belonging to an Hospital called Livery Dole. John Salter Esq. K.S. nominates to it. It is served by Mr Thomas Comyns, and supported with a small endowment of eight or ten pounds per Annum, and an apartment in the house.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: We have no Papist, in the Parish, nor any meeting house for Dissenters of any Denomination.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: There are in the parish two Schools where Children are taught to read, and one where they are taught to write: there are some Alms-houses and Charitable Endowments. These are vested in the hands of trustees, who properly discharge their Trust. We have moreover an Hospital

  13. Charity: called Livery Dole, for 12 poor families and a Chaplain: It is supported by an Endowment issuing out of lands belonging to John Walter Esq who is a very conscientious Steward for the poor. No Library.
