  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: As I am a Curate on this Living Conjunctive with that of Paracomb, Two adjoining Parishes - which have been continued so Time immemorial to <me> I beg leave to represent to your Lordship that I serve Paracomb Twice a Day, with a Sermon once, alternately - and Once a Day at Martinhoe - The Living of This latter producing to the Rector thereof, not exceeding £15 per Annum, if that communibus annis. My License runs for Linton & Countisbury, but, by virtue of Dr Keppels Consent, I was admitted to serve the above Parishes. The Rector of Paracomb's Name is Mr. Albyn's, who lives at Bath; & the Rector of Martinhoe's - Wm Nichols, who lives a Curate at Paington - And my name is, My Lord,

  2. Other benefices: A. The preceding Query & answer will, I hope, give Satisfaction to your Lordship.

  3. Divine service at other churches: No. Unless it be a Friend or Neighbouring Clergyman under Distress.

  4. Frequency of divine service: A. My Answer to your Lordships first Query will, I presume, fully satisfy for This.

  5. Frequency of communion: A. Four Times in the year the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is administered. And the Communicants from 15 to 30 at different Times.

  6. Catechising of children: A. Between Lady-Day and Michaelmas.

  7. Church fabric: A. The Church & Chancel are in repair, the Ch. Yard well kept: And all Things decent for divine Service.

  8. Glebe terrier: This Question hath been so often answer'd by my Predecessors, that I have no Room to doubt but that such a Terrier may be in the Office of your Lordship - But I have not seen it Here.

  9. Number of families: A. About Twenty - if I may call them so.

  10. Chapels: A. There is no Chapel within the Parish.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: A. There is no reputed Papists, nor Meeting Houses for Dissenters within the Parish.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: A. No.

  13. Charity: A. No.

    Priest's orders and institution: A. In Course of your Lordships Visit - The Rector of Martinhoe I doubt not, will attend you at Totnes, if not before, to shew you His Admission to His Living - And with Respect to my Priest - Orders - They bear date the 20th Day of September 1741.
