  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: There being no house belonging to ye Curate, except a small Cot house, belonging to an estate, which was purchased a few years since with Queen Anne's Bounty, I have always been permitted to reside in Barnstaple, which is separated from Pilton only by a small River.

  2. Other benefices: Alwington, in ye Deanery of Hartland.

  3. Divine service at other churches: No.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Twice every Sunday, with a Sermon each part of ye day, on all Fasts & Festivals.

  5. Frequency of communion: Five times in ye year. From fifty to sixty.

  6. Catechising of children: Sundays in ye afternoon.

  7. Church fabric: Yes.

  8. Glebe terrier: Yes.

  9. Number of families: Between 80 & 90.

  10. Chapels: No.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: No.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: Four common reading schools. Two alms houses. A hospital for three poor people.

  13. Charity: Sir John Acland & Christopher Lethbridge Esqr: gave each £1 6s 0d per annum to be distributed to ye poor forever in Bread.
