  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I do not reside in Thelbridge but live in Witheridge which Parish Surrounding Thelbridge I am nearer to <a> great Part of Thelbridge than if I lived at Thelbridge Parsonage which is as near to ye Church of Witheridge as it is to Thelbridge by the consent of the late Bishop I serv'd both Parishes and preach at Thelbridge once every Sunday where many of Witheridge constantly attend Divine Service and many of Thelbridge on the other hand as constant attend Witheridge and receive ye Sacrament there.

  2. Other benefices: I have two Benefices Witheridge and Thelbridge adjoining Parishes or rather Thelbridge is Surrounded by Witheridge.

  3. Divine service at other churches: At Witheridge.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Once every Lords Day.

  5. Frequency of communion: Five times every year the number of Communicants at Easter were about Thirty.

  6. Catechising of children: Sunday in the afternoon in the Summer Season.

  7. Church fabric: In good Repair and all things decent.

  8. Glebe terrier: There is a Terrier.

  9. Number of families: Farm & Cottage Houses there are twenty four in the Parish.

  10. Chapels: None.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: There is no Papist nor Dissenter of any Denomination in the Parish.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: None.

  13. Charity: There is some money the Interest of which is given as directed by the Donors.

    Priest's orders and institution: I was ordained Priest ye 22d of September 1745 and was instructed to Thelbridge the 21st of October 1747. Letters are usually directed at Witheridge near Tiverton Devon to your Lordships most Humble Servant. Thomas Melhuish.
