Residence, curate and lecturer: I do not reside upon this Cure but on my Living at Ashford. My Curate does not reside because the value of the Living being only £46 per annum will not maintain a resident Curate: my Curate is the Revd Christopher Boyse who serves the Parish of Horwood about four miles distant from my Parish Church; I give him the Salary of twenty Guineas per annum. He is not licenced. We have no Lecturer.
Other benefices: I have the Small Benefice of Ashford worth £40 per annum it lies about three miles west of Barnstable.
Divine service at other churches: I do not perform Divine Service in this Church, but in my Vicarage of Ashford & Curacy of Marwood.
Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform'd in this Church but once on the Lords day with a Sermon, because the Living being So Small (only £46 per annum) will not afford a resident Curate to do double Duty.
Frequency of communion: The Sacrament is administer'd four times times [sic] in a year - we have about 20 Communicants.
Catechising of children: As many as will attend after public notice given in the Church are catechis'd in the Summer months.
Church fabric: Our Church, Chancel, & other things for Divine Service are in decent repair.
School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: We have one Day-School for Childn we have no Library. We have £100 left for the use of the Poor to be laid out in Bread as the Annual Interest of the money will afford, which is duly applied.
Charity: There is in an Estate of Land in the Parish of Wesley at £10 yearly Rent left for the repairing the Church & Tower, which is duly applied.
Priest's orders and institution: My Institution bears date March 20. 1770
Priests orders June 6. 1762.
