  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: Highweek is a Daughter Church of Kingsteington & has no House belonging to it. The present Curate resides in Newton, Part of which Town is in the Parish of Highweek. His Salary is £40 and the Surplice Fees.

  2. Other benefices: None but the Vicarage of Kingsteington with the Chapelry of Highweek annexed.

  3. Divine service at other churches: The Curate usually officiates once a Month in the Mother Church of Kingsteington & then the Vicar officiates at Highweek.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Twice every Sunday with a Sermon on both Parts of the Day. On Christmas Day the 30 of January Good Friday & the 5 of November with a Sermon in the Morning.

  5. Frequency of communion: On the 3 Great Festivals & four times beside Communicants about 150.

  6. Catechising of children: During the Summer Season after the Second Lesson in the Afternoon.

  7. Church fabric: Yes.

  8. Glebe terrier: Highweek is included in the Terrier belonging to Kingsteington.

  9. Number of families: About 140.

  10. Chapels: There is a Chapel called Mary's Chapel, kept in good Order in which the Afternoon Service is performed during the Winter Quarter & the Children are baptized who are born in that Part of the Parish that is in the Town of Newton. The Curate of Highweek officiates here.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: No Papists but some few Dissenters of the Presbyterian or rather Independent Sect. No Meeting House.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: There is an Alms House for 5 Poor People who receive each £20 per annum from the City of Exeter.

  13. Charity: We have some Lands & Tenements to the Value of £12 per annum the Produce of which is duly applied.

    Priest's orders and institution: Mr Henry Baker the present Curate was ordained Deacon in Exeter on Trinity Sunday 1778
