School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: six pounds a year was paid for teaching twelve poor children to read by the late Mr Pengelly of Portridge to the time of his death which happen'd about two years since, his affairs are under ye direction of the Ld Chancellor & are yet unsettled, I have been told it is payable out of an estate called Traine in this Parish, but have not seen Counsellor Pengellys will by whom it was given.
Charity: There are no Lands, nor other Benefactions.
