The Friends of Devon’s Archives gave a grant to the Devon and Cornwall Record Society (DCRS) to help publish a report on Canonsleigh Abbey. The book titled ‘The Lands of a Medieval Nunnery’ was written by Des Atkinson and contains the land survey produced in 1323 for the Devon nunnery of Canonsleigh Abbey. The records describe the work carried out to support the nunnery as well as the Abbey’s finances, agriculture and daily life in the Middle Ages.
